The worm gearbox is the most widely used product in industrial applications worldwide.
The right-angle gearbox provided by the worm gear makes it compact in terms of lateral and economic dimensions.
Therefore, this series, which we have been producing in AISI 316 stainless steel since 2012, could not be missing from our product range.
It has a round shape, smooth surfaces and inclined planes in compliance with hygienic design guidelines.
WORM GEARBOXES

Input male shaft, double overhanging screw, outlet with tappet, double reducer combination. If you have any special requests, we’re open to take them into consideration.
Did you know that…
Worm gearboxes from ratio 1/7.5 to ratio 1/15 are found to have an average efficiency of 84% (16% loss). Worm gearboxes from ratio 1/20 to ratio 1/30 (included) we get an average efficiency of 75% (25% loss).
From a ratio of 1/40 up to 1/100 we obtain an average value of the return of 59%, which means a loss of 41%.
By way of example:
- if we consider the range of ratios between 1/40 and 1/100
- if we consider that a typical food production works in double shifts (16 hours a day)
- if we assume to move to a high-efficiency solution offered by a bevel gearbox (92/94% efficiency)
- if we reduce the engine power applied and guarantee at the same time the same transmitted torque performance.
At current energy costs, it means repaying the investment on average in 4 months.
There is an economic return starting from the fifth month.
